Good Morning all a week and a bit to go, welcome to a shiny new season with no shiny new players.
Last season my PL expectations were too high so this season I decided I needed to lower them, but no need as Sullivan & co have achieved that without a ball being kicked absolutely zero lessons learned from last season.Only at West Ham can the life be sucked out of you.
But with a week and a bit to go being old school and should never be surprised with our club, I'll be there cheering them on as usual. Sorry to start off with such a negative OP, but I'll try and find some positivity from somewhere.

We’ve still got quality in the squad and probably the first 11 Not sure about the commitment of some though! I don’t like the fact we’ve got quality players who want away, never a good sign. We need a few good signings to strengthen the squad! Stating the obvious I know

We might sign a few players but Moyes will stress that they need time to settle to his style(?) of play and to the Premier League if they are from abroad.

So first month or two is a write-off.

Two Nil West Ham. We pick up ward prowse at the service station and get two set piece goals. Total Possession 23 per cent the Moyes supporters turn out in force crowing that possession don't win you football matches even though we play against 10 men for 70 minutes

Just had a look at the squad on the site., We have 24 players and that includes two goalkeepers in Trott and Anang, Cresswell, Antonio and Scammaca whose futures are far from certain, Conor Coventry and Vlasic who isn't even here I don't think! Jesus!

End of last season was massive for me and at 58 years of age being a Hammer since I was 7 I was again hopeful we would push on.. But that appears stolen with the dinosaur ownership and management of our beautiful football team.. Confidence is low but should be high after last season's trophy.. Nobody will ever convince me Sullivan is a Hammers fan.. Who the fuck would want to watch to shit Moyes dishes up.. 0-2 loss but want us to start well.

Bournemouth won't be the push over we found them to be at Dean Court last year. They have signed some good players, Kerkez looks a good bit of business and Kluivert will get his first and only goal this season against us.

Under normal circumstances this would have been a big opportunity to win by a few goals and go top of the league for a few days. You know a few days of happiness and giving it large

I’m with Steve the hammer I think their new manager will do a number on us. We would never have ditched O’Neil if he had kept us up, like we haven’t got rid of Moyse even though we should have.

8 days till the season starts and zero excitement for me. I don't fancy us at Bournemouth at all. They had a good manager last year who did a great job. But had the opportunity to upgrade him and have done, no sentimental credit in the bank shit from them.

6 weeks or whatever it is after winning a trophy and we should all be gagging for this.

fraser - Wouldn't disagree with any of that, but it's still better than watching cricket/tennis/golf, etc. so looking forward to it regardless, and let's be honest we all love a big fucking moan up anyway.

I see they are introducing the 'world cup' extra time now, no many games are expected to be LESS than 100 minutes. So a bit more time to enjoy :-)
